Project Architect

DesignBridge is an award winning Chicago based architectural design firm that founded in 1985. We are seeking a high performing Project Architect to join our dynamic, and growing design firm focused on building design, community based projects and affordable housing.

The ideal candidate should be interested in contributing to all aspects of the design process from conceptual design to the construction phase. The firms work ranges from Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Education, Retail, Office, and Adaptive Reuse Developments.

The ideal candidate should have experience in design, engineering coordination, construction documentation, permitting and construction administration. Candidates should also possess knowledge of construction materials and standards, as well as advanced knowledge of building codes and zoning ordinances.

Requirements

• Min 10 years experience

• Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master’s degree in Architecture

• Registered architect or actively pursuing professional architectural licensure

• Experience working on fast paced projects

• Capable of working in a fast paced and collaborative environment

• Ability to take initiative and be pro-active

• Ability to work independently and with others

• Willingness to be flexible and manage multiple responsibilities

• Able to communicate with client and keep open dialog with consultants
